Bananas and berries are among my favourite fruits and the combination of both in a smoothie is a perfect smoothie recipe for my tastebuds. Berries are loaded with anti – oxidants and you can use blueberries, strawberries, blackberries or raspberries for this smoothie. Bananas are what adds the creaminess to this smoothie and also the natural sweetness. You could substitute the bananas with mangoes or papayas as well.
I wouldn’t term this as a ‘healthy’ smoothie like the green smoothie because the bananas are packed with sugar as well as the berries. But its definitely a good refreshing drink and also a meal substitute and can be whipped up in few minutes and therefore this is a recipe for the busy mornings where you cant be bothered to think about a detailed breakfast.
RECIPE
INGREDIENTS
Strawberries – 6 to 8 in number
Raspberries – 5 to 6 in number
Cashewnuts – 10 in no
Mint leaves – a handful
Chia seeds – 1 tsp (optional)
Greek Yoghurt – 2 tbsp
Cold water – ½ cup
Honey – 1 tsp (optional)
STEPS
Blend all of the ingredients in a smoothie jar of a blender or nutribullet. Serve chilled
